Where Are Our Signs?

Thine enemies roar in the midst of thy congregations; they set up their ensigns for signs. We see not our signs: there is no more any prophet: neither is there among us any that knoweth how long.

Bible Text: Psalm 74:4 & 9

A sign is a symbol a token or a warning. It is a distinguishing mark and for believers, the proof of our identity.Loss of identity is one of the greatest tragedies that can befall a person or group of people. It is the sign of conquest by a foe or a stronger force. It is the warning that someone else is in charge.

The church is the body of Christ and every believer is an important part of it. And just as Paul the apostle said, “On our bodies we bear the mark of Christ”, the signs of Christ are those things that distinguish us as the people of God – Those things that mark us out as a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, and a peculiar people to God. These include the spirit of love, power, of a sound mind and indeed the entire spectrum of the fruit of the spirit. But Jesus particularly emphasised Love, as he said, “by this shall men know that ye are my disciples”. However, the enemy will do all he can to replace the holy emblems of God with his perverted and blasphemous signs. What do you see? The enemy’s banner of hatred, bitterness and wrangling, or God’s distinguishing miracle sign of love, righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost? Let us not give place to the devil, for we belong to Christ and his banner we shall forever lift up

You are the temple of the Holy Ghost. Keep it that way.

Be encouraged, Jesus loves you!
