Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us.

Bible Text: Psalm 67:5-6

We all want the blessings of God in our lives. In fact, we all need the blessings of God in our lives. For it is the blessing of God that makes rich, and he adds no sorrow to it. I have never met a farmer, who did not want a big harvest, neither have I met an investor who did not want good returns on his investments. We want things to go well for us. These are legitimate desires and expectations. But we sometimes miss it, not in our expectations, but in how we pursue these things.

Praise is the key that unlocks God’s abundant blessing into manifestation in our lives. The challenge here is the order in which things must happen. Praise precedes the prize. The time to praise is when it is not easy, when you do not have the increase. That is where the value of praise lies. Praise is an expression of our faith (the substance of thing hoped for). It is very powerful. As we summon courage to praise God, then and only then, will the earth yield its increase, and then will we begin to see the manifestations of God’s blessings in our lives. Begin to thank God today for who he is. Begin to extol his name and magnify him in the beauty of holiness.

Always yield to him and in all; ensure you do not grieve him.
