His foundation is in the holy mountains (KJV).

On the holy mountain stands the city founded by the LORD (NTL)

I come from a family of architects and over the years I have spent with them, I have come to appreciate the importance of foundations in the building process. One can almost say the foundation is everything. The foundation of a building sets the stage and determines the type of structure that can be erected and the capacity of that building. Problems with the foundation of a building are often refereed to as structural faults, and could have severe costly implications. So the architects and builders usually put in a lot of effort to get it right at this point.

The Kingdom of God is similar. Believers are lively buildings and holy habitations for the Lord built upon the sure foundation of Holiness in Christ Jesus. The bible tells us this foundation of the Lord upon which we are built stands firm (2 Timothy 2:19 ), sealed with this inscription: “The Lord knows those who are his,”. It goes on to warn: “Everyone who confesses the name of the Lord must turn away from wickedness.” It is contingent upon us to live our lives with respect for the grounds on which we stand as holy temples of the holy God.
