God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.
Bible Text: Psalm 68:6
Have you watched that theatrical movie called “Home Alone? The movie stars Macaulay Culkin as Kevin, a little boy who was accidentally left at home alone when his family went on a Christmas holiday. In the film he had to take on two bumbling burglars while his family was away. This film is described as one of the funniest family movies of all time, by 20th Century FOX. For some in the body of Christ this is sharply reminiscent of their experience only that this time around it is not a movie, it is not funny but real and dangerous. While things ended well for Kevin in the movie, for many in real life, the experience often ends in tragedy.
As believers, the challenges we face are not designed to be tackled by “one man riot squads”. This is because we are dealing with a brutal thief who is out to steal, kill and destroy (not incompetent thieves that Kevin was up against). From the time of man’s creation God has always made it clear that it is not good for man to be alone. God’s way of seeing us through is by putting us in families. That is what our earthly families are for, and more so the Church – one big family. Make sure you are part of one. No more home alone – we can’t afford it.
Be safe. Don’t be caught home alone!!
Be encouraged, Jesus loves you.
